Verifiable incremental zone data through CZDS
A proposal for optional, access-controlled daily zone-file deltas through ICANN's Centralized Zone Data Service: compute the change once, and distribute it securely to the parties already entitled to receive the underlying data.
Today, every authorized consumer of a TLD zone file downloads the full daily snapshot and independently computes what changed since yesterday. The same source data, the same calculation, repeated by every consumer. This proposal asks CZDS to publish a verifiable daily change record — additions, deletions, and delegation changes — to the same approved recipients, under the same access controls, alongside the full files that remain available as baseline and audit fallback.
It is a delivery-format improvement, not a data-access expansion. No new entitlements, no registrant data, no change to who may receive zone data or when.
